It will not work with type 5 and earlier Stanley.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"\u003eIf the lateral adjuster is a two-piece design, this will work with yours. Types 1-4 have no lateral adjuster, and type 5 has a one-piece adjuster. All other Stanleys will work.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"\u003eIt is larger than the standard Stanley adjuster, and the knurling provides a far better grip. The stud also has threads that are twice as fine as the old adjuster so you can have finer depth adjustment control.
