Reed No Slop Yoke

The Yokes come in two different styles: File to fit, and Split Yoke

This yoke is designed to fit Stanleys and can probably fit in most other brands, though we have not been able to test all of them. It is larger than it needs to be in almost every dimension so that it can be filed to fit your plane exactly. This will allow you to remove almost all of the slop in the connection to the chipbreaker, as well as in the pin, and the connection to the adjuster nut. Split Yoke

This is the split yoke. It is designed to fit Stanleys and can probably fit in most other brands, though we have not been able to test all of them. This will take less work to make fit exactly to your plane and will allow you to remove almost all the slop from the adjuster. The connection to the adjuster is a bit oversized so it can be filed to fit your adjuster. The split allows you to insert an included screw and widen the tip to fit even the largest chip breakers. A bit about REED Planes:

Reed Planes was developed from my frustrations of using Stanley planes and old tired Norris planes. My goal was to create a hand plane that would solve the shortcomings of these planes as well as a way for them to be adjustable due to wear over time. I have adapted many of my improvements for replacement parts that can easily modify a Stanley hand plane.
